Con las materias Proyecto de Investigación,Trabajo y ciudadanía y Literatura, estamos llevando a cabo un proyecto por grupos que dura todo el año. En nuestro grupo elegimos el tema "Prejuicios en trabajos públicos y privados". Acá el anteproyecto:

Babel Review

The movie titled "Babel" was directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu, starring Brad Pitt, Cate    Blancket and others as Dael Garcia Bernal. The movie is basically about how different cultures from  different parts of the world can be connected because of the diffusion media. It is based on the    American, Mexican, Japanese and Marroquian cultures.

As far as I am concerned the movie is quite outstanding. The performances are rather good,such as    the one of Brad Pitt or Dael Garcia Bernal. I think the characters were well selected. Making    reference to place, it was clearly that the author was trying to show the prejudists stablished by    societies over different cultures, eventhough he wasnt that realistic. The use of music was quite    good,because of the fact that each song was representing the different cultures, like quartet in    Mexico or techno in Japan (more technological).

As a conclusion I would recommen this movie because I think director,producers,writter and the    whole staff were able to make the correct decisions for the specific things, like scenography,    soundtracks, music, etc. Actors did their part well, and they are all well known. So, if you want to    watch a good movie full of content know you now which one!

Curiosidad por un mundo nuevo (o melancolía del paso del tiempo)

La alumna Paula no sabia que debía comenzar los tramites para inscribirse en la universidad meses antes de terminar la secundaria. Ella y un grupo de amigas eligieron la educación publica,ya que la consideraban mas seria y mejor. Otro grupo mas reducido se inclinó  hacia la privada basándose en la teoría de que por ser privada iban a ser mas exitosas. Paula tenia un conjunto de sentimientos encontrados. Era como el perro que llevaban a la veterinaria creyendo que iba a pasear. Sentía curiosidad, miedo,alegría al mismo tiempo. Paula sabía que era algo que debía confrontar y que era parte de madurar, sin embargo no quería dejar la secundaria. El día que Paula y sus amigas visitaron la universidad de Buenos Aires de Medicina se sintieron algo decepcionadas. Comenzó con un viaje algo intimidan-te donde dos de las chicas estuvieron cerca de ser robadas por los famosos pungas de los trenes. Cuando finalmente arribaron en constitución, hicieron lo debido para llegar a la facultad. Ellas nunca pensaron que sería así, pero en el momento de entrar se dieron cuenta de que la gente circulaba y ellas se sentían  fantasmas como en una película clásica de navidad. Fueron totalmente evadidas y no recibieron atención, Ellas habían escuchado el rumor de que esto podía suceder y algunas del grupo se inclinaron hacia la educación privada. Al llegar a su casa malhumorada, Paula le comento a su madre lo sucedido. Ella expreso que iba a seguir firme con sus ideales pero consideró que es triste y hasta degradante como la sociedad por un simple prejuicio y/o comodidad decidan estudiar en la universidad privada para pagar por un titulo y que no quieran resolver cuestiones de la vida cotidiana.

Come to a reasoned judgement as to how likely it is that violent films lead to violent behavior.

Corroboration and conflict

Corroborative evidence:

-  The “Sun” and the “Daily Mail” claimed that the boys had been watching violent horror videos when they were bunking off school.

·        - The boys watched Childs Play 3 before the murder. The Sun and other tabloids claimed that there were significant similarities between scenes in the film and the killing of James Bulger.

·      -   Elizabeth Newson, a professor of child psychology concluded that there is a strong link between violent films and real-life violence and that violent films can lead to violent behavior.

Conflicting evidence:

·         - Pollice detectives rejected any suggestions that “horror” videos had influenced the boys’ behavior.

·        - The police found no evidence to indicate that the boys had watched Child’s Play 3. They looked at all the movies in the house and checked a list of their rentals from shop. They didn’t find Childs Play 3.

·        -  Elizabeth Newson´s theory was the other way round. A violent home background can lead to violent behavior which, in turn, is likely to lead to a preference for violent films.

Balance of Evidence

Sources which support the conclusion that the homicide was produced because of violent films:

·         Daily Mail had been conducting a campaign against “video nasties”-violent horror films which they claimed had a harmful effect on children.

·         Judge mentioned that one of the stepfathers had a collection of violent videos.

·         The Sun and the Daily Mail claimed that the boys had been watching violent horror videos.

·         The stepfather of one of the boys had rented a copy of Child’s Play 3 a week before the murder.

·         The Sun explicitly stated that the boys had watched Child’s Play 3 before the murder (similar as the violent event)

      Sources which support the conclusion that the homicide was produced because of violent  background:

                -   The two boys had troubled backgrounds with their families.

·                                          -   Both families lived in poverty. Both boys were neglected by their parents and resented                          their brothers and sisters. Both had been put back a year at school and frequently                                   truanted.

·                                            -   Police detectives rejected any suggestions that “horror” videos had influenced the boys’                       behavior.

·                                             -   Police found no evidence to show that the boys had watched Child´s Play 3

·                                                Team of psychologists concluded that a violent home background can lead to violent behavior, which is likely to lead to a preference for violent films.

Weight of evidence

More likely(4):

·         Stepfather with collection of violent horror movies

·         The two boys had troubled backgrounds with their families

·         Police detectives rejected that horror videos influenced in the case

·         A violent home background can lead to violent behavior.

Less likely(3):

·         Sun and Daily Mail said that the boys had been watching horror videos at home

·         Stepfather rented Child´s Play 3 one week before the murder

·         The Sun stated that the boys watched Child´s Play 3 before the murder

Quality of evidence

·         Police found no evidence that they watched the movie

·         Conclusion from group of psychologists

·         Both boys have family serious problems (violence,alcohol,etc.)

Judgment

As a final judgement I would say that the horror movie has nothing to do with this violent case. In the first place there is no evidence that the movie was rented. However, as both kids were from families with alcohol, violence and legal problems, this has a clear consequence in their psyche. That is a basic explanation of why those kids committed the violent homicide, leaving aside the option of the horror movies.

Entorno Personal de Aprendizaje o PLE  es una expresión que se viene utilizando para referirse al conjunto de herramientas, servicios y conexiones que empleamos para alcanzar diversas metas vinculadas a la adquisición de nuevas competencias. Aprender a través de un PLE permite dirigir el propio aprendizaje, tal y como ocurre con el aprendizaje informal, conectando información de diversas fuentes, información que llega filtrada y comentada por la comunidad en la que se participa.

Religión y nuestra opinion

1) ¿En que sentido creés que las creencias religiosas de una persona pueden afectar su comprensión de áreas del conocimiento como: 

A) La historia 

b) La ética 

c) La ciencia 

d) El arte? 

 A)No hay ningún hecho histórico religioso que se pueda confirmar. 

b)En mi opinión van a tomar todas decisiones éticas. 

c)Imponen su idea religiosa. Explican todo en base a dios evitando una explicación científica. d)Creemos que condicionaría sus gustos, ya que hay un genero artístico que se focaliza solo en la religion.

 2)¿Vos pensas en dios como un "él", una "ella" o un "esto"? ¿Qué diferencia creés que cada una de esas palabras le generan o generarían a cómo pensás a dios? 

 No creo en dios como persona,ni como algo concreto, sino como algo que se inculcó en las mentes de todos hace miles de años y siempre se fue pasando, con la ilusión de creer en alguien creador, como una clase de "héroe". 

 3)¿Creés que dios existe como una cosa como una fuerza o como algo distinto de esto? 

Creo en dios como en una idea, las personas buscan creer en algo, ilusionarse, respaldarse, sentirse contenidos. 

 4)¿Que evidencia te convencería de que Dios existe? 

Sinceramente no soy creyente, me parece poco lógico que alguien o algo haya creado todo tan fácil. Pero sí hay algo que me convencería de que dios existe: son los paisajes naturales que hasta parece raro que se hayan hecho solos. Un ejemplo: las cataratas del Iguazú; es bastante llamativo lo imponentes que son y que se hayan formado naturalmente.
